Collective Tenure Rights: Realizing the Potential for REDD+ and Sustainable Development

Launched at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York, this brief sets out the case for securing collecting tenure rights in the context of REDD+ and sustainable development, presents success stories (positive impact of secure collective tenure rights) and proposes a range of measures for policy makers to progress in this domain. It pays particular attention to the links with and contribution to national strategies to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) and nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
