Today key partners and stakeholders met in Hanoi to review an early beta version of the country’s Safeguard Information System (SIS).

The beta version – including an initial web interface – has been produced by a team comprising Viet Nam Administration of Forestry's Data and Information Division, the Management Information System for the Forestry Sector (FORMIS) support project, the Viet Nam UN-REDD Phase II Programme and national consultants, supported by the UN-REDD Programme.

Participant’s in today’s meeting heard updates on the progress of SIS development, saw a demonstration of beta version of the web page and provided ideas on its structure and functions. A demonstration version of the system for further feedback is expected in September this year.
