Delegations from Cambodia and Myanmar, two countries near the beginning of their REDD+ readiness activities, will visit Viet Nam 30 July to 3 August to learn about experiences and lessons related to the management of a REDD+ readiness process, measures to promote broad stakeholder participation, and practical lessons about management of a UN-REDD National Programme.  The delegations of this South-South exchange will visit Hanoi and the Viet Nam’s UN-REDD National Programme pilot province of Lam Dong.

The first Cambodia UN-REDD Programme Executive Board meeting (PEB) was held in Phnom Penh on 7 June, 2012.  The main objectives of the meeting were to discuss Programme progress, agree terms of reference for the PEB and its members, and review and approve the annual work plan.

RECOFTC, with support from UN-REDD through UNEP, has released a series of  "Country Assessments on REDD+ Capacity Building Services". The assessment focuses on the strengths and weaknesses and identifies the gaps in capacity building services being provided against Asia-Pacific countries’ REDD+ readiness needs. The REDD+ Taskforce Secretariat in Phnom Penh, Cambodia is looking for a Technical Specialist (P4) to provide management and technical advices to support the implementation of the UN-REDD Programme in Cambodia and strengthen coordination with government institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
